In the middle of the Olympics excitement (seems like ages ago now), i+P #2 made its debut at the International Alternative Press Fair at the Conway Hall in London. It was a great day (I was there for the Sunday) and issue #2 got lots of attention. I love the alternative press fairs – so much diversity in creativity on display. They’re always very inspiring and the organisation was excellent.
It was at the IAPF that I sold my last copy of issue #1. There are a few dotted about in a couple of shops but otherwise issue #1 is sold out. Sales of issue #2 also did well at Caption in Oxford – not really a selling event, but a forum for the exchange of ideas and an excellent one at that (I happen to be on the committee, so I would say that!)
I’m really pleased with the way #2 has been received and very much appreciated this review by Zainab Ahktar. I’m also looking forward to issue #3 which is in production right now, and will be out in time for the Thought Bubble festival in Leeds in November. That’s a great event, probably the best convention out there, so do come along if you can and say hello.
In the meantime, I’ll continue to post some more sneak peeks of #2 – there’s so much good stuff I haven’t shown. More soon!
